The Toronto Floorball League
The Toronto Floorball League and Social Scene is North America's first and largest floorball hockey league. Founded in 2003, the league has it's roots at the University of Toronto where a floorball club was first established in 2002. From modest beginnings with just 30 players, the league expanded to two divisions in 2005 and currently has nearly one hundred fifty players competing across 12 teams in recreational and competitive divisions.
Floorball is a fast-paced, exciting, safe and low-cost type of co-ed indoor hockey. It resembles floor hockey or ball hockey but is played with light-weight plastic composite sticks, a whiffle ball and rules that promote safety and skill. Floorball is extremely popular in Europe and has over 2 million players in 35 internationally recognized countries. To learn more about floorball, please surf to FloorballOntario.
