The Canada Cup Elite Division got off to a solid start on Friday with all the favoured team winning their games. SF X3M Floorball, despite losing some key import players, played a great match to defeat Floorball Club of Toronto 4-0. Japan's Akihiro Tanaka led the way with two goals. NYC Floorball, two time Canada Cup Champions, beat newcomers Dunnville Floor Dogs 15-0. Setting the pace was Sebastian Nyman Agdur with a goal and six assists to take the early lead in the Elite Division scoring race. The Czech Republic's SKP Nymburk edged Team Canada U-19 Selects 4-1 thanks to Jakub Droby's goal and assit. The Salming Vikings beat Ottawa Blizzard 5-2, with Swedish Super League player Andreas Ackevi (pictured) notching an assist in his Canadian debut. Pär Eriksson from the Vikings picked up a goal and assist along with Matthew Smith from the Ottawa Blizzard.
