Playoff Schedule Change!
The Woodcock team brought up an important point about our tie-breaking system which we used to determine the playoff match-ups. We did not consider Overtime Wins as Wins when breaking the tie between GWB and Woodcock. We agree that overtime wins should be counted as wins (even if they do not count for a full three points in the standings) so we have revised the standings of the Salming division. With the change, Woodcock finishes third and GWB fourth based on total wins. Even though the teams split the season series 1-1, Woodcock also had a better goal differential overall and head to head as well as less losses so I think this is a fair way to break the tie. Therefore the match-ups change slightly: GWB is playing Eurotrash on Wednesday April 8th at 8:00 PM and the Woodcock team is playing the arch-rival North Stars on Thursday April 9th at 6:30 PM. The online schedule has been updated and the standings corrected. Thank you for your support!

Permit Cancellation Thursday, March 5th, 2009
The Toronto District School Board has canceled our permit for Thursday, March 5th due to a school function. They are allowed to do this at short notice as the students get first priority. We would like to let all teams, conveners and officials know that the following games scheduled for Thursday WILL NOT BE TAKING PLACE: North Stars vs. THC Saab vs. Solid We will do our very best to reschedule the games to a later date but there is a chance we may not have any time slots to move the game to. Please stay tuned to our website for updates.

Game Times & Cleaning Up
We have been approached by the school caretakers about two very important matters.

First, we must be out of the school no later than 9:30 PM each and every night. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of our permit and the end of our league as we know it. We don't mean to sound alarmist but we must respect the rules and be out on time. If games start late, we will be forced to cut down the game time in order to finish on time.

On another note, we also need to clean up after our games, meaning all empty drinking bottles, paper towel and food wrappers need to be placed in the trash before you go. Please grab your things after the game and help us keep the gym squeaky clean.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Game Length: 3x17 mins

Proper Game Attire
All field players must be dressed in accordance with IFF regulations. Players must wear matching shorts and a uniform colored t-shirt/team jersey; no long sleeve shirts or long pants are allowed. Only doctor mandated knee or ankle braces may be worn. No watches, rings or bracelets can be worn when playing and ear, nose or lip jewelry must be removed or covered in tape. No hats or bandanas are allowed, the only headwear permitted are types held in place with an elastic band - examples are a headband or hairband. Goaltenders that play on teams with jerseys must have a unique number on their jersey and cannot wear gloves that have padding, like soccer gloves. Floorball goalie gloves, football receiver gloves or golf gloves are allowed. Proper game attire is a safety issue - thank you for your cooperation!
